The best known biography anyone's ever heard was for the mayfly.
As my literature lecturer once put it:
"Born. Eat. Shag. Die."
There's nothing like summing up the last year of your life to make you re-examine your priorities, or refocus on what has affected you. Where would you begin?
The Mayfly Project was born.

Back from the Lunar New Year break, and hardly in shape for what's in store for me in the monkey year.
for the past few sessions in studio, i've exceeded the five minute limit of making a damn fool of myself. I swear i'm
never gonna take that from him again.
that's bullshit? oh come on; what the hell do you want? i quote from the
WISE one, "that's why you're in year one. and that's why they put me here."
lemme tell you, trust your gut. Some say, all that we are is a result of what we have thought; but sometimes don't you think that thinking itself goes too far? to the extent that anal-retentive unmentionables start spewing incinerations at you because you don't get his point, what he thinks.
yes i think you have a point, but for crying out LOUD, stop being such an anal, think-i'm-sensitive, think-i'm-arty, think-i'm-god, ass licking, wannabe designer sheeshee. ok people, Lunar New year resolution here. one day the world will be a more peaceful, congenial, considerate, and polite place. Dean, we need a courtesy campaign here.

Every man is a damn fool
for at least five minutes every
day; wisdom consists of not
exceeding that limit.

Eliot at
slower.net has posted some interesting views on the personal economic viability of photoblogging; or rather, the lack of it. Give him some feedback, or add comments to this site.
on that note, how ironic that my camera's been taken from me?

i touch the smooth slate, the rough stone; i set my feet upon the
rocks. i hear the running water, and the simultaneous silence. time stops, and
secrets revealed. a blank page tells more than a 1000 pages of the greatest
story ever told. shafts of light, whispers of wind, i can almost hear them calling to me.

For those without a clue what a global city state is...here's a
paper on it; don't say i didn't warn you...
If you don't have Adobe ReaderĀ®,
get it.
'If you wind up with a boring, miserable life because you listened to your mom, your dad, your teacher, your priest, or some guy on television telling you how to do your shit, then you deserve it' -
Frank Zappa
Well on one hand he's right, on the other, who the hell says Frank Zappa's the grand daddy who's telling
you how to do
your shit? Maybe he's right then;
don't listen to anyone but yourself.
another day in the global city state.
these leaves incidentally resemble our national flower...i could win a local gardening contest with this baby! $kaching$

New Year Resolution : Turn off the TV
Tv is a passive activity for our bodies and our brains. Unlike most of
our everyday activities, watching television requires almost no thought or action.
It does as much for our bodies as lying on the damn couch does.
According to doctors at the Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine,
excessive television viewing in middle age tripples the danger of developing brain
diseases such as Alzheimer's later in life.
Now don't touch that dial.
