Your travel type: Travel Yup

The Travel Yup likes exotic and adventurous travel, but prefers big cities with fast paced life. He has a keen interest in other cultures and always brings home a few souvenirs.

Shopping in Bangkok, getting a tailor made suite in Kuala Lumpur, that's the kind of thing the Travel Yup is into. Even though he likes to get away, he prefers his travels to be comfortable.

A Proposal for the Youth Council's new Youth Centre called *scape, which will be located on the piece of land behind Cineleisure and Orchard Mandarin, Mix attempts to blend the diverse physical and intellectual talents, cultural sensitivities, creativity and innovation of Singaporean Youth today.

The proposed landscape rises from the site as an architectural and urban event in the fabric of downtown Orchard Road, a departure from the common shopping centre typology experienced in Singapore. By experimenting with organizational and volumetric arrangements, Mix succeeds in creating interesting and stimulating groupings of activities and spaces, generating new sets of program combinations that synergize to accommodate continually evolving youth trends.

Envisioned as a nest of activity for Youths in Singapore and beyond, Mix will induce Youths and visitors to contribute to the potentials created by these new synergies, eventually generating hybrid Mixes never before imagined.

Well after writing all this bullshit i came up with...let's hope Youth Council actually likes the stuff and throws my group the $500 prize for the ideas contest. Yes, they came to NUS for ideas and got away with offering us meager prize money, which we willingly took after. of course, getting our names on the final drawing boards would have been the ultimate achievement....
