i am overcomfortable.

someone kick me. i'm beginning to see the ups and downs of having a good work environment. the thing is, too much of a good thing can be bad for you; for example, ambient music, low level lighting, air conditioning, nice seats, and a Powerbook that's not yours; these things just do not condone work, neither do they condone staying awake During work...further more, an employer who's kinda chilled out about things so it really doesn't matter if you come to work at 9 or 11, just get to work. But of course, i'm always the early bird...hahaha. So right now, the workaholic curve has begun to peak and dip eeevvvveeeerrrr so slightly; think it needs some upward nudging before i plunge into bum heaven. houston, we have a problem.

I think people grow to become the likeness of their names. For example. If you knew Loo Yumynn, then no one else on the face of the planet would resemble a Loo Yumynn; there's only that one that you know. And she seems to fit her name perfectly. On the OTHER hand, its harder to GIVE a name to someone. Another Example. Say i called her Loo Yumynn ANNABELLE. she'd flip. not only that, we'd flip, because Min looks no where NEAR an ANNABELLE. BUT THEN, the question arises : What the hell does an Annabelle look like? Precisely. An annabelle would look just like the annabelle that you knew...back in the day. And so we come back one full circle : people grow to become the likeness of their names. Which automatically poses the next question for us : What does a 'John' look like? or a 'Mr Jones' ? Or a ...'Maria'?

Have you found youridentity yet? After searching your whole adolescence for "who you are", now its come to the second stage of soul searching. This is when the profession takes the centre stage, and "who you are" and "where you stand"; the "what's your take" in the various schools of thought take the lead. I think its important to know what your personal stand is, and to believe in that and not sway from that stand is bloody difficult, but it HAS to be done. This'll all add up to what we call decisiveness and driven-ness and motivated-ness, which is all kinda bullshit, but essential to our professional careers. (or, like me, yet to come for another 4 yrs.)

Barcelona, Spain.

I've gotta say that i'm still a hapless helpless dreamer. One of those people who still watches movies late into the night, (or just watches movies period) and actually might, just a bit, just maybe, think that some things might come true. You harbor dreams and wishes and thoughts; you aspire and you plan to do this and that, and you hope something great happens. i guess that's what gives you the zest for life. and cheers to those who've already found what, where,(or who) that zest is.

Think i'll give up trying to understand people. I guess that's what the majority of the world population does; that's why they're happy. they get along with who they get along with; they don't try and want to get along with everyone, and so they end up with only those that they can and should be around. sounds like a sound strategy to me, like they say, birds of a feather flock together..

Come on, i know at least some of you miss this. Ironically, a month and a week have gone by, and i still have not tasted a drop of the luscious coconut filled gravy. Don't ask me why; this branch is right at the foot of the block where my office is.
